Seaborne transportation of StatoilHydro’s crude, product and NGL volumes involves more than 4000 voyages per year and moves over 100 million tons of oil annually
In addition to conventional shipping operations, StatoilHydro utilises state-of-the-art shuttle tankers under contract from first-class owners.
These carry crude volumes directly from oil fields on the Norwegian continental shelf to the group’s refineries at Mongstad and Kalundborg, or to third-party customers.
All shipping activities in StatoilHydro are performed with a heavy focus on health, safety and environmental protection, and in accordance with the group’s ethical guidelines.
StatoilHydro has an active programme of vessel pre-inspection and approval, with such work being carried out on a regular basis worldwide.
Chartering activities are carried out from the office in Stavanger and from the trading offices located in Stamford and in London.
