We endeavour to attract and select the right personnel. We recruit and develop local labour in the countries in which we operate.
At year end 2006, we had more than 29,500 permanent employees.
Approximately thirty-seven per cent of our employees work outside Norway, and 40 per cent of the workforce and 37 per cent of managers are from countries other than Norway.
StatoilHydro's payroll expenses in 2007 in the form of wages, pensions and other social contributions amounted to NOK 22.4 billion.
In addition, StatoilHydro paid NOK 2.9 billion in employer's national insurance contributions.
