We are actively investing in technology development and the production of energy from wind farms. We are currently considering a number of exciting projects for offshore wind power, and we also have several land-based wind farms both in operation and in the pipeline.
As early as 2002, we started production at our first wind farm, Havøygavlen in Finnmark. At Utsira, we have carried out a hydrogen and wind power project which was awarded the Platts Global Energy Award in 2004.
We have invested in wave power technology called Pelamis developed by Ocean Power Delivery (OPD). Through our ownership interest in Hammerfest Strøm AS, we are co-owners of the world's first tidal turbine delivering electricity to the onshore grid.
