StatoilHydro is operator for the Q (50%) deepwater field that lies in block 961 in Mississippi Canyon. Q came on stream on 11 October 2007.
We also have interests in the following five producing deepwater fields:

Overall the Gulf of Mexico produces 20.000 bbls of oil a day.
Fields for the future
StatoilHydro has two projects under development in the Gulf of Mexico.
- Tahiti - production is estimated to commence in 2009.
- Thunder Hawk – production is estimated to commence in 2009.
StatoilHydro is a major licence-holder in the Walker Ridge area and has a working interest in the Jack and St Malo discoveries and the Green Bay prospect.
