Indonesia

StatoilHydro has agreements which give us interests in the deepwater Kuma and Karama blocks off Indonesia, where the water depth ranges from 1,000 to 2,000 metres.

We have received the operatorship and a 51% holding in Karama, which lies in the Makassar Strait. The remaining 49% is held by Pertamina (Persero), Indonesia’s national oil and gas company.

ConocoPhillips is operator for the Kuma block, with 60%, while we hold the other 40%.
