Germany
Significant parts of StatoilHydro's gas production reach Germany's north-west coast through Gassled’s Norpipe, Europipe I and Europipe II trunklines.
From Dornum the transportation system of StatoilHydro takes gas further into Germany.
The transport system has become an integral part of the market area of northern Germany. This is the first market area which was set up by multiple transport system operators. German partners are Gasunie Deutschland and DONG Energy Pipelines.
The market area of northern Germany provides entry and exit capacities as well as a virtual trading point and several services for customers.
Etzel
The Etzel gas storage in northern Germany holds stocks under high pressure in nine subterranean caverns.
Monitoring pipelines
StatoilHydro is technical service-provider for about 7,000 kilometres of pipeline.
