StatoilHydro is operator for China’s Lufeng 22-1 field in the South China Sea, with a project office in Shekou to manage production operations.

We have a 75% holding in Lufeng. Our partner, the China National Offshore Oil Company, has 25%.

In addition, we have an office in Beijing which builds relations with the Chinese authorities and state-owned companies with an eye to new commercial opportunities in this country.

The oil field Lufeng lies in the South China Sea, about 250 kilometres south-east of Hongkong.
