On 23 August 2006, Norway’s first hydrogen station was opened in Stavanger.
HyNor Stavanger has signed an agreement on procurement of four vehicles of the type Toyota Prius with a hybrid solution for hydrogen operation.
StatoilHydro is one of the partners in the development and demonstration project HyNor (Hydrogen Highway in Norway), and the station is an integral part of this project.
The station has been built at our service station at Forus, very close to StatoilHydro head office in Stavanger, and is part of the national HyNor project.

The station offers both pure hydrogen (350 and 700 bar pressure), and naturalhy (also called hytan or HCNG) which is a mixture of hydrogen and natural gas. The station also offers pure natural gas.
Realisation of the hydrogen station is the result of a long and excellent collaboration with several stakeholders.
