StatoilHydro sells natural gas to customers in 16 countries. The largest volumes go to Germany, the UK and France.
The group has a market share of about 14% in the European market.
The majority of StatoilHydro’s gas is sold through long-term contracts. In
recent years, the group has increased its activities in short-term sales and the
marketing of gas on behalf of third parties.
StatoilHydro also sells natural gas directly to major consumers in Belgium,
the Netherlands, France and the UK.
The group has sales offices for gas in Stavanger (Norway), Brussels (Belgium), London (UK) and Stamford (USA).
