Facts about Kristin

The Kristin gas and condensate field came on stream on 3 November 2005.

Kristin is located in the south-western part of the Halten Bank in the Norwegian Sea.

The field has been developed with 12 production wells in four subsea templates, tied back to a semi-submersible production platform.

Kristin is currently producing 10 million cubic metres of gas per day. Daily production capacity from the field is 125,000 barrels of condensate and just over 18 million cubic metres of rich gas.

The Kristin reservoir is located almost 5,000 metres below ground.

Pressure and temperature in the reservoir - at 900 bar and 170°C respectively - are higher than on any other field so far developed on the Norwegian continental shelf.
