StatoilHydro's subsidiary Statoil Energy & Retail Russia operates a network of Statoil-branded service stations in the Murmansk region of the Kola Peninsula, in the Pskov region bordering to Latvia and in St. Petersburg, Russia’s second largest city.
		 
		
			
		
		The first of these outlets was opened in the city of Murmansk in 1993. StatoilHydro is the only Western energy company operating service stations in this part of Russia. 
In 2008 we opened a new energy and retail headquarter in St. Petersburg, aiming to expand the network of service stations in Northwestern Russia.
