Statoil ASA achieved an income before financial items, other items, tax and minority interest of NOK 16.0 billion for the first quarter of 2004.
This represents an increase of 17 per cent from the same period of last year.
Earnings per share were NOK 2.17 as against NOK 1.66 for the first quarter of 2003.
