Our 'Total Reward' concept includes both intangible benefits such as professional development and more tangible rewards such as a flexible range of employment benefits dependant upon your position, role and in some cases, your geographic location.
Your performance is valued based equally on what you deliver and how you behave. Fundamental to this principle are our reward and benefit concepts, which are designed to attract and retain talented people in the company. Throughout the company, we actively address your welfare and wellbeing. Our internal job market provides numerous opportunities to embark on new and exciting paths within StatoilHydro. Whether you are starting afresh or changing jobs, we support you with housing and travel arrangements.
Our reward packages are competitive in the markets in which we operate and include bonus and share savings schemes in addition to base salary and other compensations. Pension plans and insurance arrangements, sick leave, flexible work arrangements and paid holiday are also important parts of our reward system.
- Individual Reward levels: Individual salary reflects the employee’s responsibilities, experience and competence. It is evaluated yearly based on performance where deliveries and behaviour are equally weighted.
- Bonus for good performance: Our people are eligible for our corporate bonus or local bonus schemes competitive in the relevant market. The corporate bonus is calculated yearly, based on our financial performance relative to other large international oil and gas companies .
- Variable pay schemes : Our reward system includes annual variable pay schemes with differentiated pay potential and a long-term incentives scheme for executives in key specialist and administrative positions. Inclusion in our variable pay scheme is on an individual “invitation only” basis.
- Share saving plan: All employees have the opportunity to buy StatoilHydro shares. Employees taking part in StatoilHydro’s share saving plan will receive bonus shares. Employees receive one bonus share for every one bought.
