Plataforma Deltana is an offshore area in the Atlantic Ocean, adjacent to Venezuela’s border with Trinidad & Tobago.

StatoilHydro completed in October 2007 the drilling phase in Block 4, and recommended further evaluation of the Cocuina field. If the area proves to be prospective, appraisal wells may be drilled prior to a declaration of commerciality.
Currently, StatoilHydro is providing technical assistance to the Venezuelan Ministry of Energy and Petroleum in the unitization process of the Cocuina-Manakin area with Trinitarian authorities.
