StatoilHydro’s activities in Azerbaijan are among our biggest commitments in a single country.

Together with national oil company Socar and other international companies, we have worked both industrially and socially to build a solid basis for our investments in Azerbaijan.

In Azerbaijan’s sector of the Caspian, we participate in oil production from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and in gas production and exploration on Shah Deniz, Alov, Araz and Sharg.

We are a partner in the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline, which runs from the Azerbaijan capital of Baku to the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean.

In addition, we serve as commercial operator for the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP), which runs parallel with the BTC to the Turkish-Georgian border.
