Block 34 is located south of block 17 in deep waters, with Sonangol P&P as the operator.
There is a remaining exploration potential in block 34, even after the 2 initial disappointing wells.
StatoilHydro is involved as technical assistant with key personnel seconded to Sonangol P&P's organization when required.
